ActGen Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account information. The details you provide to create and manage your account, such as your name, email address, and organization.
• Intent inputs. The specifications and design intent you submit so we can compile them into a priced task graph and decision packet.
• Payment metadata. Billing details are handled by Stripe. We store payment metadata such as receipts, charge identifiers, and ledger records; we do not store full card numbers.
• Training progress. How far you have come in the chip design training: which chapters you completed, your answers to their checks and the scores those earned, the notes and discussion posts you write, and the work you publish from the training.
• Profile and resume. What you put on your talent-network profile — your display name, handle, headline, bio, skills, links, employment and education history, a phone number if you want the SMS concierge, and a work-authorization status if you state one — together with the PDF resume you upload and, if you claim student status, the school you name and the identity document you upload for review.
• Technical interview. Each sitting of the AI technical interview: the questions, your answers and when you sent them, the score, and the written assessment. You can read your own sittings, and so can ActGen's administrator. Other members see a result only if you choose to show it on your profile. Before a sitting opens, your resume is read once so the questions can be tailored to your background; what that read produces is used for that sitting and is never shown to other members.
• Connected accounts and repositories. If you connect GitHub, we store the connection and use it, with the access you grant, to read and write the repositories you point us at: their names and branches, their contents while your work runs, and the pull requests we open for you.

How we use it

We use your information to run the Silicon Evaluation and First Silicon Path, to deliver your decision packet, to process payments and refunds, to communicate about your account, and to keep the service secure and reliable. We use your training progress to record what you have completed and to award the credential; your profile and resume to show you in the talent network, to match you to contract work, and to tailor a technical-interview sitting to your background; and your interview result to decide whether the paid roles it gates are open to you. We do not sell your personal information.

Data isolation

Your design inputs and the outputs generated for you are kept isolated to your account. ActGen learns from the process of running evaluations — how work is decomposed, priced, and routed — and is trained on that process, never on your confidential design inputs or the proprietary outputs generated for you. This boundary is a core commitment of the service.

Optional data contribution

Separately from the boundary above, you can choose to contribute your task data — such as task conversations and design-iteration traces — to de-identified datasets used to improve and train AI models, including datasets licensed to third parties. This is off by default and happens only if you explicitly opt in from the Data contribution setting in your account menu after accepting the current contribution terms. Dataset exports omit direct account identifiers, replace record identifiers with stable pseudonyms and apply automated secret screening. Screening can miss sensitive material: it does not establish your right to contribute employer, customer or third-party information. Turning contribution off excludes your material from future dataset grants and exports.

The same setting governs your expert corrections: the rewritten reasoning, content and tool calls, your step verdicts, named failures, reusable rules, rejected alternatives, cited evidence and authored tasks. Both the original contributor and correction author must retain applicable current consent and rights. Accepting or being paid for a task alone does not authorize dataset licensing. A dataset already delivered to a licensee cannot be recalled, and completed training cannot be undone by withdrawing consent. The exact optional grant and its limits are shown in the contribution terms. Merely accepting the signing-bench agreement does not turn this setting on.

Third parties

We rely on a small number of service providers to operate ActGen, including a payment processor to handle billing and cloud infrastructure providers to host and run the platform. These providers process data only as needed to deliver their part of the service and are bound by their own agreements. We share information with them solely for these operational purposes.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, meet legal and accounting obligations, and resolve disputes. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data, and we will delete or anonymize it except where we are required to retain certain records, such as billing ledgers.
